Lead Pipeline Engineer (4months only)

The client Competency Center is responsible for a complex process of taking a client’s base design (concept) and bringing it to life, customizing and ensuring that the project is feasible and built to specification. With a hands on approach and/or project management role, the process from feasibility stage through to delivery to the client is taken on by a wide range of highly skilled multi-disciplined engineers ensuring the client’s interests are upheld at all times.
Working with the industry experts, this is a unique opportunity to develop and deploy our excellent services within basic design, detailed engineering and procurement support services for marine and offshore facilities and marine operations management.
Your role will be to lead a team of pipeline engineers and designers in close liaison with the manager – department and the deputy project manager. You will manage project through to conclusion – coordinating all disciplines to ensure all project tasks are executed to time, budget and quality.
Key accountabilities will include:
Direct, monitor, control, review of all technical job progress and cost reports.Development of project plans & schedules whist maintaining technical integrity.Ensure project success, quality adherence and deliverables according to approved project procedures.Lead, identity and train the engineers and designer for various discipline related software packages.Person SpecificationTo be successful in this role, and our business, you will need to demonstrate the following qualification, professional expertise and personal attributes:Technical / Professional ExpertiseB.Sc. Mechanical or Civil Eng. Other relevant M.Sc. is an advantage.Chartered Engineer status is highly desirable.Must have strong experience in Pipeline engineering from the oil and gas industry.Extensive offshore industry experience in design and specification of Pipeline systems (FEED & detailed design).Ability to use Offpipe, Plus One, AUTOPIPE & Caesar software.Well versed with all relevant international pipeline codes and standards incl.: DNV, ASME & API.Competency Requirements
